Approach:

Radical different and smart

I love this project even though it was one of the toughest projects I ever had at University. I formed a team with two girls of my studies to create something different. Something that really would break with existing. It had to be small, it had to be smarter, it had to be fully electric. And it had to be fun like motorcycling.

After the course was completed we sent our project as an entry for the VDA Design Award: 2020 and WON!

Now we have 2017 and we see the BMW i3, the BMW i8 and of course we see TESLA everywhere.

Sometimes I think we were on such a hot track back then that our professor must have had wondered if we knew someone in the BMW R&D think tank...but then again we were 3 years ahead of time because BMW says:

PROJECT i.

In spring 2008, the best minds of BMW meet at a top-secret locations in Munich to consider an ambitious target: the reinvention of urban mobility. The team from Munich set up a think-tank, call it “project i” and assign a single mission: Forget what went before. Rethink everything.
